SHOW UP

  1. Who are one or two people who showed up for you spiritually or personally? What was it about their presence or actions that left a lasting impact?
  2. Why do you think Scripture places such a strong emphasis on passing faith to the next
generation, rather than just focusing on individual growth?
  3. After reading 2 Timothy 1:1–12, what stands out to you about the relationship between Paul and Timothy? How does Paul’s tone challenge or inspire your view of spiritual leadership?
  4. Paul encourages Timothy to “fan into flame the gift of God.” What might it look like to do that in your current season—or to help someone else do the same?
  5. When you think about spiritual legacy, do you tend to see yourself as a receiver, a builder, or someone in transition? What has shaped your answer?
  6. Eli didn’t have it all together, but he still played a crucial role in Samuel’s calling. What does that say about how God can use flawed people to guide others?
  7. In 1 Samuel 3, Samuel mistook God’s voice for Eli’s several times. What do you think that teaches us about spiritual sensitivity and the learning process of discernment?
  8. What do you think it means to “show up” in someone’s life in a way that helps them hear God more clearly? Can you think of a time someone did that for you?
  9. Who in your life right now might need someone to walk alongside them spiritually—not as a project, but as a partner in growth?
  10. What’s one fear, doubt, or obstacle that might be keeping you from intentionally investing in someone else’s spiritual journey? What would it take to move forward anyway?

SHOW UP

  1. What do verses 1–5 reveal about Naaman’s status, his condition, and the surprising source of hope? Why is the servant girl’s role important in the story’s setup?
  2. Describe how Naaman’s approach to healing (bringing gifts, going to the king) reflects what he believed about power and solutions. What does this tell us about his mindset?
  3. Why do you think Elisha chose not to meet Naaman personally, and instead gave him a message through a servant? What might this detail reveal about God’s methods?
  4. Share about a time when someone unexpected influenced your spiritual life or pointed you toward God. What made their influence impactful?
  5. What’s one spiritual habit or “dip” that you find hard to stay consistent in—and why do you think that is?
  6. Is there an area in your life right now where God may be asking for simple obedience—even if it feels small, repetitive, or beneath you? What would it look like to take one step in that direction?
  7. Share about a time someone gently challenged your thinking or pride in a way that helped you grow. How did you respond?
  8. Share about a time when you kept showing up—and God eventually met you there. What did you learn from that season?
